|$0 My Commitment: $5,000.00|
|Congrats! Keep going!|
This will be my tenth Pelotonia and my tenth time proudly riding for teamCOPC, a peloton which is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. In my first Pelotonia, I rode 43 miles. This year, I will be riding 200 miles for the first time.
As a Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC) internal medicine physician, I would guess that I have witnessed more cancer than most over my years of training and practice. Some of this was during the long days and nights I spent in The James during residency at The Ohio State University. What really gets to me though, is when people I care about are affected.
This year, my father was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and I am dedicating my Pelotonia 19 ride to him. I am also riding in memory of my wife's grandmother who died of ovarian cancer. I am riding for all of my friends who are cancer survivors and for everyone who has sat on my exam table and dealt with this disease. I am riding because I know there is hope and I have personally witnessed miracles.
100% of the money raised by Pelotonia goes directly to cancer research at The James. Please support my ride for this important cause. Thank you!
