   Congrats! Keep going!

I continue the ride of my life, for the love of my life Martha- cancer survivor since 1988.  This is my tenth consecutive year (in my 90th year)-as the oldest rider (this year I will be a Virtual Rider) of the Pelotonia charity ride for cutting-edge cancer research at OSU James CCC Cancer Hospital and the Solove Research Institute. The purpose is to defeat this devastating disease so future generations will be cancer-free. Your support as a Pelotonia warrior will help our dedicated ONE GOAL-END CANCER. Thank you for donations, in any amount. Why am I riding Pelotonia ? To raise money for Cancer Research to find the fastest way to create A CANCER-FREE WORLD at one of the top Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the USA., right here in Columbus, Ohio. READ ON FOR SOME ADDITIONAL PERSONAL REASONS WHY I AM SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS PROGRAM. I lost my Grandfather, Father and Uncle John to cancer when there were few survivors. My sister Vi's first husband had brain cancer at 43 with three young children. He lost a 5 year battle after a courageous fight. Later, Vi remarried and sadly lost her second husband to cancer also. My brother lost his first wife, Marilyn, to lung cancer. His second wife, Charlotte, lost her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer in 2010. I lost a very good friend, Dan Noble, in 2007 after a 21 month battle with brain cancer. His spirit lives on !!! I will ride for my very good friends,  Bill and Eileen Kobel, both treated for cancer at OSU James Cancer Hospital and they remain cancer-free after more than ten years. Also, I ride for my brother-in law, Bill, my sister-in law, Jane, daughter-in law, Carolyn and all others that have been affected by this insidious and devastating disease. Survivor numbers are increasing exponentially. HOPE is alive and we can win this battle with everyone working together!!
