I am excited to ride in my 11th Pelotonia and my third as captain of Stefanie's Team of Hope. The first ten pelotonias were a wonderfully powerful experience for me. I am riding this year again as a part of Stefanie's Team of Hope. I am riding to honor the life and spirit of Stefanie Spielman. Stefanie lost her battle with cancer in November of 2009. She inspired me from the time I met her and her spirit continues to inspire me. She touched my life and the lives of my family. She provided my children with an example of a strong, positive, loving Christian woman. I ride to honor her and all those who are battling cancer and those who are no longer with us.
Through fundraising and research, my hope is that we will discover new ways to treat and cure all forms of cancers soon so that my children and yours will know a world without cancer.
I am riding Pelotonia with my children. I want to ride to set an example for my daughters and my son. I want my children to understand the meaning of how to help, how to give and to realize that they have the power to make a difference in their world.
If you are a parent, a grandparent, an aunt, an uncle, a future parent or just someone who is concerned about future generations, I hope you will help me in my fundraising efforts to support The James Hospital and their fight against cancer.
