|Congrats! Keep going!|
Last year I met and started dating the most wonderful man, Steve. We met through cycling, which made him even more perfect. We’ve enjoyed riding together, hiking over the winter and planning a trip to cycle Italy in September.
Then in mid-March, during a bike ride, he experienced an extreme headache, had issues staying upright on his bike and was extremely disoriented. After a trip to the emergency room where they performed a CT Scan and an MRI, it was discovered that he had a glioblastoma the size of a golf ball on the right temporal lobe. Brain cancer.
Steve had a successful surgery 5 days later that removed as much of the tumor as possible. Radiation and chemo are still needed as this is a very fast-growing tumor and we need all of the tools possible to control it. Of course, The James is where he is receiving his treatment.
His cancer is treatable, but it is not curable.
Please support my ride so that through the efforts of Pelotonia, The James can continue research that is much needed to change cancer diagnosis. Together, let’s change “not curable” to “curable”. Let’s provide more hope together.
