|$0 My Commitment: $1,500.00|
|Congrats! Keep going!|
In March my mother was taken to the hospital with a bit of jaundice. Gall stones? No--bile duct cancer. Cancer wasn't on our radar at all. Now she probably will not live to see me ride in this year's Pelotonia.
She has dementia, and perhaps the hardest part of this is the conversation we keep having: "What is wrong with me?" "You have cancer, Mom." "Cancer? I have cancer? I never thought I'd get cancer."
I bet that's what thousands of people say every day. Cancer is the thief in the night, stealing our careful plans and equilibrium. My mom is 90, but I think of all the people who are 5, 20, 40, 65, who have families and dreams for their lives, who suddenly have to struggle and suffer to recover, or not. I think of you and your families and our friends, and I ride for them.
I hope you'll consider supporting me today with a donation toward my ride--100% of every donation goes to cancer research and treatment.
Thank you very much.
