Like most people cancer has had a big impact on my life. While I'm lucky enough to have never been diagnosed myself many of my loved ones have. Cancer is the reason I never met my Grandfather Patrick Horgan. The reason I lost my grandma Kate before I hit double digits. And why I won't see my Aunt Lynda again. My father has battled cancer for the past 7 years but is doing great thanks to great doctors and the continued progress being made to diagnose and combat the disease. The last time I was able to spend quality time with my Aunt Lynda was actually at a presentation given by the former head of James Cancer Hospital Dr. Caligiuri. Over the course of his presentation he must have mentioned Pelotonia funds 10 to 15 times. He also made a point to say how close we are to breaking through and really hammering out a cure to this thing. But the key is research and funding. If they had a blank check they would be able to cure cancer was basically what he said. I want to do what I can to make sure they have a blank check and that's why I'm riding in pelotonia and asking for your help in the form of a donation.
