|Congrats! Keep going!|
Thank you so much for your never-ending support in fighting cancer!
This is my 12th year to participate in Pelotonia, and my 11th as a rider with my Girls with Gears Peloton.
Once again I pedal to pay tribute to family & friends who have been touched by this disease. I ride in celebration of my mom, dad, sister, uncle, BFF Marni, Crosby, Kim and others. I ride in encouragement of our friend Deb who is currently battling breast cancer. I ride in memory of too many...Grandma, Grandpa, Pat, Don, Bill, Kathy, Natalie, Beth, and Jewel...and regretably I add my Aunt Connie to this list. We lost her last October after she battled colon cancer for several months. Honestly, I still can't believe she's gone. I talk to her all the time and think of all the sage advice she's give me over the years. I love her and miss her beyond words. My grief strikes me when I least expect it. Simply put--she wasn't supposed to die at age 73...she was one of the most active, fun and alive people I've ever known--she's not the one who was supposed to leave this earth. I have a hard time understanding why this happened to her. I can only do my best to be the kind, loving person she was as she touched so many people during her life.
I feel blessed to be part of Pelotonia. It has taught me so much and challenged me to new heights. Not only did I meet my future husband, but I have made wonderful friendships through my membership in our Peloton, Girls with Gears -- has raised more than $1MM since we started in 2010! 🙌🙌
I simply could not participate in Pelotonia without the love and support of so many. Thank you for your generous donations, and for many of you--made year after year--and for joining me in this ONE GOAL. To End Cancer.
