Pelotonia 2019 -
August 3rd and 4th, 2019 will mark my 6th year riding in Pelotonia. This year I will be bicycling 200 miles over 2 days to support cancer research at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center. You can learn more about Pelotonia's impact here.
If you have donated to my ride already or in previous years, I am thankful for your support. I kindly ask for you to consider donating to my 2019 ride: pelotonia.org/johnmeier.
This past year, I lost a cousin to cancer and two good friends lost their sister to this terrible disease. I ride in their honor and for those who continue to fight.
As most of you know, I lost my father to cancer on March 2, 2017. Today, I am a proud father of a 1-year old (Isabelle). While my dad never met his granddaughter, he is with us every day and brings inspiration, laughter, and joy to our lives.
I hope to be a role model for my daughter as my father was to me.
I hope to make my daughter smile and laugh as my dad did with me.
I hope to offer the guidance and wisdom my father provided me.
I hope Isabelle can grow up in a cancer-free world.
Since 2009, Pelotonia has raised $184 million and 100% of your donation goes directly to fund cancer research. I appreciate you considering a donation to my ride and this great cause.
