When I was riding in my very first Pelotonia last year I realized how many depend on the funds that are raised through this amazing program. The feeling of doing this through Girls With Gears gave me the encouragement and inspiration I needed to train and complete my goal. The number of people along the route - including cancer survivors as well as family and friends of people who lost their battle with cancer - with signs thanking participants for their support gave me the energy I needed to finish my very first 50 mile ride.
This year, I signed up for another 50 mile ride but have a goal of going 75 miles if possible. I now have a road bike and plan to begin to practice with clips this winter. Your encouragement and support will help me make the leap to go the additional 25 miles.
Please join me in One Goal: End Cancer.
