|Congrats! Keep going!|
I am riding for my health and in honor or memory of all those in my life who have been touched by cancer - most especially my dad who died in September 2017, after his prostate cancer metastisized into bone cancer.
For as long as I can remember, my dad was physically fit and strong. It was his strength that helped him survive all that he did for as long as he did.
He traveled to Columbus to see me in my first two Pelotonia rides but he was not able to travel for my last two because of his health. Now, he is with me in spirit.
I am also riding for my brother Marty. He survived a double lung and liver transplant, for which we are grateful, and is managing all the complications and side effects, including skin cancer, with strength and selflessness. The recovery has not been easy but it is pure joy to have him in my life, especially his unmatched sense of humor.
This is my sixth Pelotonia and I couldn't be more proud than to ride, especially this year as my son Owen will ride his first Pelotonia.
I am grateful for the gift of good health to achieve the goal with Owen. Let's go!
