I am very excited to be riding in my sixth Pelotonia. I have to be honest and admit that I almost skipped the ride this year because my training has been light. Then I remembered back to February and my first Buckeye cruise for cancer. It was pretty awesome to see 400 cancer survivors take the stage and realize that the James played a part in each person's recovery story. I want to continue to honor those survivors by riding 75 miles and I hope you all can help me reach my goal.
Our family is so lucky to see Pelotonia's impact first hand through my husband David's work as a physician, researcher and administrator at the James. His research has directly benefited from Pelotonia dollars but beyond that direct impact Pelotonia has transfomed our community. It has made people aware what a group of dedicated riders, volunteers and donors can do when given the opportunity.
Cancer has touched the lives of both my family and friends so I am getting on the bike again to make a difference. Every single dollar I raise will go to support Cancer research and that makes the pedaling so much easier. Please support my ride in whatever way you can and let's get closer to a cure.
