I am honored to ride in my 6th Pelotonia this year. As many of you know I battled breast cancer in 2013-2014. I continue to remain healthy and am dedicated to finding a cure. I participated in a study held at the Stephanie Spielman Center this past year. Chemotherapy saves lives, but can unfortunately create life long problems for many patients. This particular trial studied the immune system which chemotherapy weakens. I was proud to give back to the research hospital that not only saves lives, but is dedicated to improving the quality of life after cancer. The last day of my trial I met a woman with metastatic breast cancer. She was in a wheel chair and very fragile. I was so glad to be able to tell her that I am riding in Pelotonia for people like her and also for people like my friend Brooke. Please join me as I continue to fight the fight.
