|$0 My Goal: $3,001.00|
I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1999 at the age of 29. I received CHOP chemo and went into remission. In 2002 I was rediagnosed with the same, and received ICE chemo and had an Autogenic Bone Marrow Transplant. I went back into remission. In 2006 Rhonda, my wife, and I had a baby boy (after my bone marrow transplant!). Also in 2006 I was rediagnosed with the Lymphoma again. I received ICE chemo again, and then had an Allogeneic (unrelated donor) Bone Marrow Transplant. I then went back into remission. I went back to work full time in December 2007. As of May 2 this year I am 11years cancer free! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy restoring our 1896 Victorian home, traveling, cycling, swimming, competing in Triathlons, wood working, metal work, and eating. I have participated in all 10 pelotonia events and rode the 180 and the new 200 mile distance every time.
I had both of my transplants and post care at the James. The facility and the staff are the best.
I hope I stand as an example of how one can be diagnosed with cancer repeatedly, and go through treatment time after time, and still be become healthy and lead a full life.
