|$0 My Commitment: $100.00|
|Congrats! Keep going!|
Did you know that 35-40% of people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives? I didn't until I started as an ACE summer intern with OSU Medical Center. I also learned that about 67% of people survive their diagnosis for upwards of 5 years. Prevention, treatment, and patient survival just keep improving. This trend is thanks, in part, to places like the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center, James Cancer Hospital, and Solove Research Institute. This summer, I'll be putting my energy towards supporting Pelotonia riders on Team Buckeye. Pelotonia is a huge fundraiser and bike ride that supports cancer treatment and research at OSU. But it is more than a bike ride--it is a community of more than 5,000 people. A community of survivors, medical staff, parents, children--all working together to raise money and sweat on their bikes so that the number of people who survive their diagnosis is someday 100%. The research that happens at OSU is made possible by the community fundraising that happens each year for Pelotonia. Join me. Every little bit helps! If you'd buy me a beer, donate $5 here.
