This is the 10th anniversary of this wonderful event that has changed so many lives. I just felt that this year, I needed to get back on the bike. So here I go! I am hoping and praying for a safe ride and to surpass my fundraising goal of $1300.00. I have to say, it never ceases to amaze me how much I gain from this event. It makes me think, what more can we do to cure this disease? Well, that answer is easy, keep on riding!!! I hope through this effort and the work of the many cancer researchers at The James and across the country and world, we will live to see a day where there is no more cancer. Until that day, I will do my best to make the lives of those affected by this disease easier and treat each of them as I would want my loved one treated.
I guess it is a passion, to want to help in anyway possible. Through my work as a nurse practitioner at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center (an outpatient clinic part of The James Cancer Hospital), we strive to enroll breast cancer patients in clinical trials to continue to work toward a unified goal: find a CURE!!!
I am excited to participate in Pelotonia 2018 this year and represent The Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center on this ride! The Breast Cancer patients whom I work with daily, touch my life in a way I can't even start to put into words that will give it any justice. Since I've ridden last, so many that I love have been affected by cancer. Everyday we strive to have clinical trials available for all of our patients who we care for. Every year, we are also blessed as breast oncology providers to offer our patients newer therapies. All because of research!
Through the generosity of all that sponsor us, each dollar donated will go driectly to The James Cancer Hospital to support research efforts ongoing there. Through this effort we hope to continue to make further strides in finding the cure for cancer! As we participate in many national studies, your donation will help patients all over this nation!
I raise funds in honor of all of my loved ones, family and friends, who have had cancer and fought the battle as well as all the courageous patients I care for daily. They are all amazing to me!
Thank you for your donation and please keep all the riders in your prayers!!!
